My Engagement Ring - My Most Prized Possession

For most people, I guess the most obvious answer to the question of "what would be the first thing you'd take if your house was on fire," would be irreplaceable photos. This wouldn't be my first choice, however, as I don't like to look back in life and ponder over memories. I would much rather move forward, and look on to new adventures and create new memories, that I simply remember in my mind.
My engagement ring is my most prized possession and I would probably have to run to my jewelry box to get it during the beginning phases of a fire. I only usually wear it when I go out to someplace special. It's just the most beautiful engagement ring in the world in my eyes. When the light hits it at just the right moment, my diamond ring sparkles like the romance that was in the air on the night I received it.
